Within the NEM group the NEM Special Products Business Unit is responsible for the delivery of service-related products and solutions directly to the international end-users of boiler installations. The product range is very broad, from engineering and consultancy services to a complete reconstruction of these facilities.
The current activities of NEM, based on technical know-how and engineering, have brought us to a point where we can obtain an important position in the international energy market. In order to strengthen our position in the Middle East, we have been represented locally in Dubai since 2010.
NEM Special Products is independently responsible within NEM Dubai for development of the sales network and local generation of sales volume for its products. The market to be developed comprises both "familiar" clients (the installed base, constructed by Standard Fasel, NEM, Stork, and Schelde), as well as new clients. To strengthen our local organization, we are looking for a Services Sales Manager.
The challenge
The new Sales Manager to be appointed will act completely independent within the NEM Special Products marketing operations to be undertaken in the Middle East. In this regard, the following activities can be considered:
• Independently draw up and carry out sales plans based on market analyses
• Accomplish the established sales objectives of NEM Special Products in the Energy and Environmental markets
• Acquire new business from existing and new clients. In other words, build, support, and further expand a network of end-users of boiler installations in the Middle East
• Devise innovative solutions to client problems through the use of various departments within the total NEM organization (new construction and service)
• Cooperate in the establishment of the bidding strategy, so that an offer can be presented in collaboration with the Proposal Team
• In consultation with the NEM Middle East Manager and the Special Products Manager, look for qualified local partners and subcontractors to carry out the local portions of the projects
• Present offers to clients and manage contract negotiations
• Coordinate the Proposal Team with respect to the technical concept and content
• Determine costs and sales price in consultation with internal specialists
• Carry final responsibility for the total bidding process


Profiel

The candidate that we seek has a Higher Technical School or Technical University education (preferably majoring in mechanical or chemical engineering, or energy technology), and 12 years' experience in a technically oriented Business-to-Business market. In addition, you have experience in managing or acquiring (international) technical projects, and are familiar with valid international development guidelines and quality standards.
You are a commercial, driven personality and possess the correct balance between result and service orientations. You are a full-fledged discussion partner on the various organizational levels. You are in able to build and support an international network independently. Furthermore, you already have an extensive network in our Middle East branch. You have an affinity with technology, and are open to the acquisition of specific knowledge. You are in a position to develop this international growth market and are also able to go down the political / governmental path, and to influence and develop it.
In connection with the international character of NEM, we require an exceptional knowledge of the English language, spoken and written, and a partiality to contact with various cultures. You are also ready to make foreign trips frequently.
Work location
You will be stationed in Dubai and will operate out of the NEM office in Dubai. Furthermore, you will often travel within the region and, from time to time, to the Netherlands.
